The Colburn Orchestra, the flagship ensemble of the Colburn School’s Conservatory of Music, rose to greatness under the baton of Music Director Yehuda Gilad.  The ensemble reminds listeners of the youthful sound of the Berlin Philharmonic, whether conducted by Gilad, or visiting Maestros like Sir Neville Marriner, Gerard Schwarz, Gustavo Dudamel or Esa-Pekka Salonen.  The orchestra made its debut recording with mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke (see below).
