Gerard Schwarz, much beloved in Los Angeles and on the West Coast in recognition of his long and successful tenures as music directors of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and Seattle Symphony, gave us the pleasure of recording Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 with The Colburn Orchestra in Pasadena’s Ambassador Auditorium.  Jerry’s prolific recording career on Delos and other labels has recently been given new life through Yarlung’s distributor Naxos.  Jerry still conducts major orchestras around the world but now also dedicates much of his time to working with young musicians such as at the Greensboro Eastern Music Festival where Schwarz serves as music director.
